COMMUNICATION & PROGRAM MANAGER

The Marcus Odianose Ughulu Foundation for Peace and Sustainable Development (MOUFPSD), is pleased to announce a unique opportunity for a qualified professional to join our team as Communication and Program Manager for the National Social Impact Leaders’ Summit (NSILS 1.0).

Communication & Program Manager

Location:

Abuja, Nigeria (with possible travel across states)

Contract Type:

Project-Based (August 2025 – January 2026)

Key Duties & Responsibilities

The Communication & Program Manager will oversee both strategic communications and program coordination for NSILS 1.0, ensuring seamless planning, execution, and visibility of the summit. Responsibilities include:

Communications:

•  Develop and implement a communications and media strategy for the summit.
• Manage social media platforms, press releases, newsletters, and digital campaigns.
• Liaise with journalists, media houses, and bloggers to secure coverage before, during, and after the summit.
• Ensure consistent branding, messaging, and storytelling across all communication channels.
• Oversee the design and production of communication materials (flyers, banners, delegate packs, etc.).

Program Management:

• Coordinate summit agenda, panel sessions, and workshops in collaboration with the Convener and Technical Committee.
• Manage delegate registration, confirmations, and inquiries.
• Ensure effective engagement of panelists, moderators, sponsors, and partners.
• Supervise logistics related to program delivery (venue coordination, audiovisuals, protocol).
• Document summit proceedings, including a comprehensive post-summit report.

Qualifications & Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, International Relations, Development Studies, or a related field.
• A Master’s degree in Communication, Project Management, or Development Studies will be an added advantage.
• 5+ years’ proven experience in communications, program coordination, or event management (preferably in non-profit, development, or CSR-related projects).
• Strong background in stakeholder engagement, media relations, and digital communications.
• Excellent writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
