VACANCY NOTICE
Position: VICE PRINCIPAL ( Open to Both Genders)
Location: AYOBO, LAGOS
Salary: ₦150,000 – ₦200,000 GROSS MONTHLY
A reputable secondary school in Ayobo, Lagos, is seeking to engage a dynamic, innovative, and results-driven Vice Principal to provide strong academic leadership and support the overall administration of the school.
Minimum Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed.) or B.Sc. with PGDE.
– Valid TRCN Certification.
Experience:
– Minimum of 3–5 years’ proven experience as a Vice Principal, Deputy Head Teacher, or equivalent academic leadership role in a reputable school.
Skills & Person Specification:
The ideal candidate must:
– Be highly tech-savvy with proficiency in digital learning and school management technologies.
– Have demonstrable experience coordinating external examinations such as BECE, Checkpoint, WAEC, NECO, IGCSE, and other standardized assessments.
– Possess strong experience in academic programme planning, implementation, monitoring, and quality assurance.
– Be conversant with both the Nigerian and international blended curricula and their effective implementation.
– Have current classroom teaching experience in English Language, Mathematics, or any Science subject (Biology, Chemistry or Physics).
– Demonstrate excellent leadership, communication, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
– Be passionate about staff development, learner achievement, and continuous school improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide strategic leadership for the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the school’s academic programmes.
2. Coordinate curriculum delivery, instructional quality, lesson observations, assessments, and teacher performance management.
3. Oversee the successful planning and administration of all internal and external examinations, ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards.
4. Support the Principal in driving school improvement initiatives, maintaining high academic standards, discipline, and operational excellence.
5. Mentor, supervise, and build the capacity of teaching staff while promoting innovative and technology-driven teaching practices.
6. Foster a culture of academic excellence, collaboration, continuous improvement, and outstanding learner outcomes.
