FOR ACADEMIC AND NON-ACADEMIC STAFF POSITIONS–Edudelight Job Vacancies
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following academic and non-teaching positions in the University of Benin, Benin City.
This advertisement is open to both internal and external candidates and will run for six (6) weeks from the date of this publication.

Candidates should submit –via the online application portal, soft copies of their application with detailed Curriculum Vitae, photocopies of credentials and supporting documents.
Any applicant for academic staff position with qualification less than Ph.D must possess a minimum of second class upper division in first degree qualification plus NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate.
Referees must send their reports (not longer than one week after close of application) directly to the Registrar under confidential seal with SUBJECT HEADING BEARING THE NAME OF THE APPLICANT AND POST APPLIED FOR. At least one Referee must be from the applicant’s most recent/current place of employment.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ACADEMIC POSITIONS
PROFESSOR/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
Ph.D (in the relevant field) with substantial teaching experience, research and publications.
SENIOR LECTURER POSITION
A Ph.D plus five (5) years of teaching experience with a minimum of 8 peer-reviewed publications.
LECTURER I & II
Ph.D or Master degree plus three (3) years teaching experience with a minimum of 3 peer-reviewed Publications.
ASSISTANT LECTURER
A Master degree plus PhD in progress and must show evidence of teaching and research potential or experience.
GRADUATE ASSISTANT
A first degree not below Second Class (Upper Division) subject to applicant showing adequate aptitude for teaching and/or research. First Class degree holders are encouraged to apply.
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (CONTISS 07)
Qualifications:
A good honours degree not below Second Class (Lower Division) from a recognized University
Must be computer literate.
Qualifications:
GCE G.C.E. O level, WASC, NECO, and NABTEB with five (5) credits which must include a credit English language in not more than 2 sittings.
50/100 wpm in typewriting and shorthand;
NCE/National Diploma in Secretarial Studies/Administration/, Office Technology Management with at least 2 years of relevant working experience.
Proficiency in relevant computer application package is required.
Qualifications:
GCE O level, WASC, NECO or NABTEB with credits in English language in not more than 2 sittings.
50/120 wpm in typewriting and shorthand;
Higher National Diploma in Secretarial Studies/Administration, Office Technology Management or its equivalent with at least 3 years relevant working experience
NCE in Secretarial Studies, Administration, Office Technology Management with at least 5 years of relevant experience and proficiency in relevant computer applications
Proficiency in relevant computer application package is required.
Qualifications:
University First Degree in Pharmacy (B Pharm or Pharm D), registerable with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN)
One year post-registration experience
Qualifications:
– MBBS, BDS, or equivalent degree, duly registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN)
– Current Practicing License
Qualifications:
Degree in Nursing/Nursing Science (BNSC) plus registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council
Registered Nurse/Midwife (RN/RM) with any other OND in Nursing (e.g., Accident and Emergency Nursing, Theatre Nursing)
– Current Practicing License
with 3 years of post-registration experience
Qualifications:
– First Degree in Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS)
– Registered and licensed with the Medical Laboratory Council of Nigeria (MLSCN)
– Current Practicing License
Qualifications:
– 5 credits, including English Language and Mathematics, in WAEC, NECO, GCE, SSCE in not more than 2 sittings, NABTEB, Trade Test class 11
Valid Class E Driver’s License
4 years of working experience
Qualifications:
– 5 credits in WAEC, GCE, NECO, SSCE, NAPTEP, including English Language in not more than 2 sittings
Qualifications:
– 5 credits, including English Language and Mathematics, in WAEC, NECO, GCE, SSCE, NABTEB in not more than 2 sittings.
– Computer Operator Training Course Certificate from a recognized institution
– Proficiency in relevant computer application packages
Qualifications:
At least 3 credits in WAEC, NECO, SSCE, NAPTEP results
Qualifications:
– National Certificate in Laboratory Assistance
– At least 4 years of working experience
